Mike Estabrook

These works are part of my series of mostly large scale paintings called “Psychopomps, gods and arcana”. These are a series of acrylic paintings depicting neo-pagan gods that are concocted from personal, unconscious symbolism. To access this subconscious well, I incorporate chance-based techniques into the design, such as automatic drawing and a randomized system of coloration, determined with dice rolls.
